YEAR 4 - Susana Solano

Signatures Nº 1

Solano, in order to create the piece "Signatures Nº 1" for the Artists’ Vineyard by Mas Blanch i Jové, was inspired by the work in the fields and by the Mediterranean landscape. The installation can be found among olive trees and suggests the delicate transformation of the landscape as well as a most absolute respect for and knowledge of the laws of nature. The celebration concluded with an ethereal and charming show by Pep Bou, the magician of soap bubbles, and a dinner at the centre of the Artists’ Vineyard matched with wines from the vineyard.

"The intervention “Signatures nº 1” seems to be drawn inside an olive tree orchard and, through a gesture with metal, becomes an action of memory, contemplation, poetic and rigorous in respect to the environment." Susana Solano

"A sketch drawn between olive trees, of lines of brightness and areas of transparency, that plays with its lines interwoven with trunks, that embraces all without altering the rigorous aspect of its settlement on the land" Marta Llorente

"Participating in a project focusing on the dialogue between art and nature has been very attractive. The people from Mas Blanch i Jové that have made it possible, with illusion and energy, once a year sow the seeds of art in nature." Susana Solano
