This year, around thirty experts \u2014including sommeliers, oenologists, and industry professionals\u2014 evaluated hundreds of wines that showcase the richness and diversity of a DO in full growth.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2566\" data-end=\"2769\">The competition is supported by the Economic Promotion Board of the Lleida Provincial Council and coordinated by the Vinari Awards technical team, ensuring a demanding and high-quality selection process.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2771\" data-end=\"2975\">Among an extensive and highly competitive list of winners, Mas Blanch i Jov\u00e9 is especially proud to have received three major distinctions that highlight our way of understanding the land, time, and wine.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2977\" data-end=\"3045\">\ud83e\udd47 <strong data-start=\"2980\" data-end=\"3004\">Best Aged White Wine<\/strong><br data-start=\"3004\" data-end=\"3007\" \/><strong data-start=\"3007\" data-end=\"3045\">Sa\u00f3 Blanc 2023 \u2014 Mas Blanch i Jov\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3047\" data-end=\"3321\">Sa\u00f3 Blanc 2023 has been awarded as the best aged white wine of the entire DO Costers del Segre.<br data-start=\"3142\" data-end=\"3145\" \/>This recognition celebrates the elegance, depth, and balance of a wine born from mountain vineyards, crafted with care, respect, and precise ageing that enhances its character.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3323\" data-end=\"3385\">\ud83e\udd47 <strong data-start=\"3326\" data-end=\"3344\">Best Ros\u00e9 Wine<\/strong><br data-start=\"3344\" data-end=\"3347\" \/><strong data-start=\"3347\" data-end=\"3385\">Sa\u00f3 Rosat 2024 \u2014 Mas Blanch i Jov\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3387\" data-end=\"3579\">Our Sa\u00f3 Rosat 2024 has been selected as the best ros\u00e9 wine of the DO.<br data-start=\"3456\" data-end=\"3459\" \/>A vibrant, fresh, and delightfully seductive ros\u00e9 that reflects all the light and energy of our high-altitude vineyards.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3581\" data-end=\"3662\">\ud83e\udd47 <strong data-start=\"3584\" data-end=\"3621\">Best Single-Variety Macabeu White<\/strong><br data-start=\"3621\" data-end=\"3624\" \/><strong data-start=\"3624\" data-end=\"3662\">Sa\u00f3 Blanc 2023 \u2014 Mas Blanch i Jov\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3664\" data-end=\"3853\">Sa\u00f3 Blanc 2023 has also received the award for the best single-variety Macabeu white wine, a recognition that highlights the purity and authenticity of this historic grape of the territory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MAS BLANCH I JOV\u00c9 ON THE WINE ROUTE OF LLEIDA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tourism proposals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When traveling to Lleida, don&#8217;t miss the opportunity to do wine tourism in its lands. The wine they produce is part of the Costers del Segre designation of origin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enological trip through the lands of Lleida<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These are wines that grow in calcareous soils, under a Mediterranean climate with continental air, with cold winters and hot summers.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the website of the Ruta del Vi de Lleida Association. There you will find all the news from the wineries, as well as a careful selection of restaurants and accommodations in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Visiting a winery can be the perfect excuse to explore some of the seven production sub-zones of the DO: Segri\u00e0, Raimat, Artesa de Segre, Urgell, Pallars Juss\u00e0, Valls de Riucorb, and Garrigues.<\/p>\n<p>For example, you can see how organic farming is practiced to offer quality wine. They will show you how they carefully pick their own grapes to make wine, and how they are self-sufficient thanks to their own sustainable agricultural operation (of wheat, barley, alfalfa, etc.) that feeds their pigs, cows, etc. Oh, and don&#8217;t forget to taste their olive oil, which they press right there.<\/p>\n<p>Many wineries in this area, like others, open their doors after the summer for you to participate in the grape harvest, a long-standing event that is combined with celebrations in surrounding municipalities. As the vineyards are at different altitudes, and depending on the weather in summer, the harvest can start in August and end in October-November.<\/p>\n<p>A recommendation. Go to tread the highest vineyards of the designation of origin, at 1,000 meters above sea level. There is a winery that ferments wine in a curious way. They use stone vats from the 12th century. If you taste them, you will notice that they are more aromatic wines.<\/p>\n<p>And did you know that there are wineries that make wine from between the stones? The vines are planted in an old gravel pit and produce quality organic wine.<\/p>\n<p>These are some recommendations, but at the Ruta del Vi de Lleida Association, they will give you many more.
