From now until mid-August, Mas Blanch i Jové winery is hosting “Discovering the Flora of Les Garrigues”, an exhibition of watercolours by Pere Rosinach and photographs by belblanc dedicated to the botanical richness of our region.

The exhibition is born from the careful observation of the flora of Les Garrigues and from the desire to bring together art, photography and botanical outreach. Each species is presented through three complementary perspectives: a watercolour, a photograph and a short explanatory text. The photographs, taken in different places across the region, have served as the starting point both for the watercolours and for the accompanying texts.

Some of the plants represented are part of the most familiar landscape of Les Garrigues; others are much less visible and can only be found in specific corners of the territory. Their presence reminds us of the importance of preserving the diversity of habitats that gives life to this landscape.

Photography and watercolour establish a delicate dialogue between two ways of approaching the same plant. In some cases, they share the same gaze; in others, they show different stages of the life cycle or highlight specific details of each species. The watercolours, often enlarged in relation to the plants’ real size, allow us to appreciate forms, structures and adaptation strategies that usually go unnoticed.

“Discovering the Flora of Les Garrigues” is an invitation to observe, compare and discover. A proposal that brings together knowledge, sensitivity and artistic interpretation to draw us closer to the complexity and beauty of the plant world around us.

The exhibition can be visited at Mas Blanch i Jové winery until mid-August, during regular opening hours.
