New Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Sardines, Art and Music at Mas Blanch i Jové Winery on Sunday, November 8

The winery in La Pobla de Cérvoles will host a special day featuring a free traditional sardine barbecue, tastings of freshly produced extra virgin olive oil and wine straight from the tanks, contemporary art exhibitions and a concert by the Matisse Quartet as part of the Tumultuosa Festival.

La Pobla de Cérvoles, October 2026. On Sunday, November 8, Mas Blanch i Jové Winery will open its doors for a special celebration of freshly harvested olive oil, art, wine and music. The event invites visitors to discover the flavours of the land and enjoy culture in a unique setting, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves in the heart of Les Garrigues, Lleida.

The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a free traditional sardine barbecue, running until 11:30 a.m. or while supplies last. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste freshly produced extra virgin olive oil, made from olives grown in the winery’s dry-farmed olive groves, located more than 700 metres above sea level. Guests will also be able to sample wine straight from the tanks, served in a traditional Catalan porró, a glass wine pitcher designed for sharing, celebrating one of the region’s most deeply rooted winemaking traditions.

Contemporary art will also take centre stage. At 11:30 a.m., Marta Pruna will present her temporary exhibition in the space she shares with René Müller, in the winery’s Gran Finestra exhibition room. This offers another opportunity to visit the winery and discover how art can interact with architecture, landscape and nature.

At 12:00 noon, music will take over, with a performance by the Matisse Quartet, presenting Arrels (Roots) as part of the first edition of the Tumultuosa Festival.

Organised by Como Pomona, the festival features the chamber music series L’OJC als Cellers (OJC at the Wineries), presented by the Orquestra Simfònica Julià Carbonell de les Terres de Lleida (OJC), supported by the Diputació de Lleida. This initiative brings together classical music, winemaking heritage and local gastronomy, offering experiences that go beyond a traditional concert.

The festival experience, priced at €22 per person, includes a guided winery tour at 11:00 a.m., the Matisse Quartet concert and a tasting of Mas Blanch i Jové wines paired with local gastronomic products from the Lleida region.

Through this initiative, Mas Blanch i Jové continues its commitment to making the winery a meeting place for culture, gastronomy and local heritage, celebrating the traditions of Les Garrigues while bringing art and music closer to rural communities.

A day to slow down, share memorable moments and celebrate everything the land has to offer.
