SUCCESSFUL PARTICIPATION IN THE 11TH EDITION OF THE MAS BLANCH I JOVÉ CHILDREN’S PAINTING CONTEST

  • More than 400 works are exhibited at the winery’s barrel room
  • More than € 500 in prizes
  • An edition specially dedicated to teachers

Mas Blanch i Jové has held its Eleventh Children’s Painting Competition for the children of Les Garrigues. More than 450 works from 13 different schools have been presented and are currently exhibited at the winery’s Barrel Room, where there is also the incredible painting “Between Heaven and Earth” by Gregorio Iglesias, a colossal 60-meter work which was painted in 2013 for more than 2 months in the middle of the Artists’ Vineyard.

Due to the current health situation, the exhibition of the works that can be visited every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm, will be extended until the end of February. Those participants who visit their drawings at the winery will receive a small gift and the parents who accompany them will be welcome with a cup of one of the Saó wines.

In addition, this year more than 500 euros will be distributed in prizes and their delivery to the winners will be next December 20th at 5 in the afternoon.

Mas Blanch i Jové, in its commitment to the territory and to art, created this contest 11 years ago to encourage the youngest of the region to draw and paint. The winery wants to dedicate this 2020 edition to schools and, especially, to teachers who this year are carrying out their essential task in particularly difficult conditions.
