XII EDITION OF LES GARRIGUES GUITAR FESTIVAL DEDICATED TO EMILI PUJOL AT MAS BLANCH I JOVÉ
- Duo Diode in a summer outdoor concert with wine tasting on Saturday, July 15th at 8:00 PM.
Opening of the exhibition by artist Joan B. Domènech.
The Guitar Festival dedicated to Emili Pujol returns to Les Garrigues once again to bring classical music of plucked string instruments closer to the general public. Various concerts in unique locations fill the summer nights in the region with personality and talent.
Next Saturday, July 15th, Duo Diode will present their show “Traditional Melodies” at La Vinya dels Artistes in Mas Blanch i Jové. Torrentó on the violin and Mainé on the guitar will perform traditional Catalan and international melodies, along with jazz standards with their own arrangements, aiming to reinterpret the folk repertoire without losing its essence.
Duo Diode will also debut their first album, Ethymos, featuring entirely traditional Catalan songs such as “El testament d’Amèlia,” “Muntanyes del Canigó,” “El mariner,” and “La cançó del lladre.”
Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the temporary exhibition “Silenci Matèric” by artist Joan B. Domènech. The exhibition will be available until the end of December.
Tickets cost only 10 euros – 8 euros in advance on the winery’s website. Doors will open at 8:00 PM, starting with a tasting of two organic and mountain wines from Mas Blanch i Jové. The concert will begin at 8:30 PM and take place outdoors, in front of the winery.
