High participation in the 16th edition of the Mas Blanch i Jové children’s painting contest

  • More than 500 artworks on display in the winery’s barrel room
Over €500 to be awarded in prizes

Mas Blanch i Jové has held the 16th edition of its children’s painting contest for boys and girls from the Les Garrigues region. More than 500 artworks from 13 different schools have been submitted and are currently on display in the winery’s barrel room, which also houses the impressive painting Between Heaven and Earth by Gregorio Iglesias—a monumental 60-metre-long work created in 2013 over more than two months in the heart of the Vinya dels Artistes.

The exhibition can be visited every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. until early January. All participating children who come to see their drawings during the established visiting hours will receive a small gift, and accompanying parents will be offered a glass of one of the Saó wines.

In addition, more than €500 in prizes will be awarded this year, with the prize-giving ceremony taking place on December 20th at 5:00 p.m.

As part of its ongoing commitment to the territory and to art, Mas Blanch i Jové created this contest 16 years ago to encourage the youngest members of the region to draw and paint.
